Home groups
All members of St Andrew's and St Alban's congregations are welcome to join our prayer and study meetings. These provide opportunities for deepening friendship, discussing a Bible topic, worshipping together, and praying for needs in each church. The meetings include refreshments and friendly conversation. Locations and times of study and prayer meetings are posted on the weekly pew sheets.
Monthly Bible study groups currently meet at St Alban's Church.
For more information on these please contact Revd Ian

Prayer weeks
In the New Year we support the National Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with opportunities for community worship.
Our local activities will be listed
on the weekly pew sheets.
Study courses
Our Confirmation and Lent courses explore the deeper questions
of life from a Christian point of view. Lent courses are often held with ecumenical friends from Churches Together in Mottingham. Our courses are held at the Rectory and include specially designed material, refreshments, open discussion, and prayer. We look forward to seeing you at one of our faith study and discussion courses!
If you are interested in joining the or other Study Courses please contact Revd Ian
Prayer weeks/Alpha courses
Live more prayerfully
Live more holistically
Live slower
Live more gently with others and with self
Live with more space for silence and solitude
Live generously and hospitably
Live with attentiveness to God, to creation and to neighbour
Live with a greater recognition to God in all things
Learn from the community of others
Rediscover a poverty of spirit that lets go of ambition and self-interest and look for Christ
where he was found during his life – on the edge among the lost
Rediscover the gift of peace at the very centre of all that you do.
Amen
Revd Richard Carter, Associate Vicar for Mission, St Martin-in-the-Fields.
Prayer

Spirituality
Take time
Take time to think, it is the source of power.
Take time to read, it is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to play, it is the secret of staying young.
Take time to be quiet – it is the opportunity to seek God.
Take time to be aware, it is the opportunity to help others.
Take time to love and be loved – it is God's greatest gift.
Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul.
Take time to be friendly – it is the road to happiness.
Take time to dream, it is what the future is made of.
Take time to pray – it is the greatest power of earth.
